Jeff's Story
Life
Moved from San Diego to Norfolk to manage a DOD contract. Father to 3 children. 2 the "old fashioned" way, 1 by adoption. By day I work as a project manager with a great team. I'm passionate about running as pretty much all of my pictures show, running around 6 half marathons and 1 full marathon during a year. I'm able to find the time to run at least 5 miles every day. I'm also involved in Little League. I volunteer as an assistant coach for both Spring and Fall ball for whichever team my son is on. Married to a great wife for 16 years, she is a teacher in the Portsmouth school district.
School
Got out of High school, went into the Navy.. got out of the Navy, went to work.... Got my...Expand for more
B.S. in Information Systems, and my M.S. in Technology Management. Back into the Navy Reserves as an Officer.
Military
Joined the Navy before the end of High School on delayed entry. Served for 3 years onboard the USS Okinawa and an Electronic Warfare Technician. After active duty, went in the reserves as an E3. Didn't care for that reserve group and got out for 5 years. Went back in to the Reserves as an IT2 and served a couple of years with Special Warfare groups and Staff commands. Noticed that the advancement potential for someone in my designator was zero. So I submitted a direct commission package and was selected. Now serving as an Officer and will stay with that until I retire.
