Well, I guess that I took the 'Road Less Traveled' in life. I went into the Army 6 days after we graduated -people told me that I was nutz - still not sure about that one. Like Jimmy Buffet sang - Some of it's magic, some of it's tragic, but I've had a good life just the same. I have served my entire career within the Army Intelligence branch. Never punched a single ticket in my 34 year military career - NONE. I always took the fun/exciting, been there/done that jobs and pretty much flew by the seat of my pants. First, they told me that I'd never make Major, then Lieutenant Colonel. Well, here I am. I took a break in service after leaving Cambodia in 93 - that's when I lost my father to cancer. In Cambodia, I lived in a barn for 18 months with a Russian and a Chinese officer and we had a Bangladeshi Infantry Support Battalion and funeral pyres every evening.
