Jeff's Story
Life
Lori Muhl [also from Roswell] and I dated for seven years and then married in 1993. We have three children; twins [boy and a girl] aged 11 and our youngest daughter aged 8. The twins were born in Santiago, Chile and our youngest in Lima, Peru.
I have worked in the mining industry since I left NMSU in 1990. I spent 9 years with BHP where I worked in a number of countries. I left BHP in 1999 and went to work for Compania Minera Antamina in Lima, Peru where I worked for five years. I left Antamina in 2004 and joined ...Expand for more
Phelps Dodge in Arequipa, Peru as the Controller. In 2006 I was promoted to General Manager of Operations and am now responsible for all aspects of production, still in Arequipa, Peru.
We have lived in South America for more than 14 years now, I can hardly imagine myself living in the U.S.
We recently purchased a vacation home in Lake Havasu so we find ourselves spending most of our "away time" on a lake in the desert Southwest.
