Jeff's Story
I believe I was in 6th grade in 1976 when there was an assembly in the cafeteria and Mr Leddy, (5th grade teacher at Mariners,really cool) rock band opened up and played "Highway Star" by Deep Purple . them and the real Deep Purple. My teacher, Mrs Haider, who was very reserved usually and all the rest of the lady teachers went wild like a bunch of teen aged girls. Mr. Leddy killed it that afternoon. None of us had a clue he was in a band Total rock star or I should say ":Highway Star.". Does anyone remember that or know where Mr. Leddy is now? I'll never forget that!
