Jeff's Story

Life After graduation I flip-flopped between UTEP and Community for 3 years and got about 90 semester hours under my belt before losing all interest in school (as if I had any to begin with) and went in the Army as an MP in 86. After a training accident in the Fall of 88 I was medically discharged and returned home. Was with the El Paso County Sheriff's Dept for 5 years.Got married in 92, son Jimmy was born in 93 and I divorced his charming mother in 94. I started driving a truck in 93 and moved to Memphis Tennessee in 96. I bought my first house in 2000 and moved to Cordova(a suburb of Memphis) and have lived here since. wish I could of found her sooner but I am happy for what I have. We bought a house in Collierville which is a suburb of Memphis about 20 miles away. I still drive trucks but now for ABF freight and can't believe I am still doing it after 21 years. On a sad note my Dad passed in October 2013 and I have sold the old house on Shaver. So I guess that was my last link to El Paso. I did a lot of traveling back and forth there the last year of Dad's life and was amazed how much home had changed since I moved away. Its just not the same place anymore but the memories will always remain.It was kinda fun taking the wife to all of the old hang out places. Not sure if I will ever go back home to visit but you never know, I might have the urge to get some Chico's some day!! Other than that I guess that time marches on and the next big events will be grand kids then retirement. Take care and thanks for reading. Jeff
