Jeffrey's Story
I joined this site many moons ago and now have decided to 'participate' more fully after talking to Char a while back.
I went to Europe for a few years after high school and met my wife, Muriel, there in Belgium (Oui, On parle le Francais). She has put up with me for over 32 two years, winning her a 'get out of jail free' card and going strait to Heaven when it's her time.
We have 4 daughters; Stephanie 30 married to James, Aldine 29 married to Jaime, Michelle 23 married to Jake, and Danielle 16 ( I don't know who she'll marry but his name will probably start with a 'J' too).AND 4 grand kids; Nick 4, Zack 2, from Stephy & Natalia 3, Martin 2 from Aldine.
I want to affirm for any of you doubters that the bumper sticker that reads,"Had I known that my grand kids were this much fun I would have started with them FIRST!" is straight truth! For those who knew my family there in Seattle I was the oldest of 6 boys, no sisters. I tried four times to get a son of my own...no dice! By that fact alone I realize God is a funny fellow with a bizzare sense of humor and I wasn't about to try a 5th time... one more daughter and I would of stepped out in front of Jim Sleemans dump truck! aughters as well as the 'excuse the French' part except it is real Francais that even old Ms Colliton would be proud of!
I am in the tile and stone business and was managing a Tile Outlet Distribution Center in Salt Lake City until recently. I live about 1 hour 15 minutes south of it in a small po-dunk town called Payson, Utah. The commute sucked and so after 3 years I'm looking for something closer.
Most of my time is spent with family and they are everything for me. I do some fly fishing with my son-in-law Jaime (he's from Chile) and still tinker in mechanics (more out of necessity for others).
I like to ride horse when I get the chance and my friends are agreeable but it's been a while. We, or I should say Muriel, have a Schnauzer named Dodger, and 2 cats. (The cats will make usefull bookends some time in the future)
There are still some places I would like to go, things I would like to do, and people I would like to see (including some of you lot)before I punch my ticket out of here. I hope to chat with some of you soon and will post some pictures of the family if I can find some that don't look too much like the Adams Family. (Thank God the daughters take after their mother) Today is Feb 28th 2009
