Jeffrey's Story
Life
I am a 1976 graduate of Brandon High School were I was best known for playing bassoon in Band and Orchestra. After high school I majored in Music Education at the University of South Florida in Tampa. After graduation I began my teaching career at Peirce Jr. High in Tampa as the Band Director. My next position was as the assistant Band Director at Brandon High School (1984-1987). In 1987 I was selected as the band director for East Bay High School. City, Florida as the Band Orchestra and Chorus Director were I was credited with building the music program .In 1997, the Marshall music department recieved a state award for recuirtment and retention(33% of the student body was in band). In December 2003 I finished work on a MA in Guidance Counseling at Argosy University/Sarasota. In July 2004 I was hired as the guidance counselor at Lanier Elementary School, Tampa.
I live in South Tampa with my wife Carol, an art teacher, and my two children, daughter Tiffany (18) and son Tyler (13).
I am currently working on a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Argosy University/Tampa.
