Life
Worked in Lauderdale and Orlando in the construction business after graduation till 1975.
Worked at Hangar One and Walker’s Cay Air Terminal at Lauderdale airport from 1975 till 1977 when I joined the Air Force as a Jet Engine Technician.
Went to Basic Training at Lackland AFB, TX. Technical training at Chanute AFB, IL. First duty station was at Zweibrucken Air Base, West Germany from 78 to 80.
Married Jane Drewry in June 79. Daughter Michelle born July 80, daughter Bethany born May 82.
Served at Wurtsmith AFB MI, Shaw AFB SC, Moody AFB GA, Keflavik Naval Air Station, Iceland, Andrews AFB MD, Dyess AFB TX, Beni Suef Air Base, Egypt.
Returned to Dyess AFB in Sep 2000 and remained there till I retired on 01 Aug 05.
Was out of the Air Force from June 94 till February 96 due to leukemia diagnosis. Leukemia in remission since June 94. Re-entered Air Force 12 Feb 96.
Attended Texas State Technical College working toward my Airframe and Powerplant license. Worked part time at Angel Aviation as an aircraft mechanic.
Finished A&P school, got license and am currently working as an aircraft mechanic at Eagle Aviation Services Inc. here in Abilene, TX. We perform heavy maintenance on American Eagle Airline aircraft (Embraer, SAAB and Bombardier).

mpany in 2015 worked there for a year until my wife's parents needed help. Took care of them until Dec 2016. Fully retired in February 2018.
Have been happily married for 45 years.
Update: our first grand daughter, Sierra was born on 03 Jul 11. What a blessing she is. Our second grand child is on the way, due in May of 2012.
Update: second grand daughter (Caroline Jane) born 23 May 12. Got to see her in May and Oct. 2012 and March 2013.

I get back to Lauderdale once or twice a year. My parents still live there in the same house, three blocks south of Stranahan. My sister still lives in Lauderdale as well. My wife and I have tossed around the idea of moving back to Florida at some point but probably not south Florida, to congested, etc.
Update: My brother Rusty (Stranahan class of 77 graduate) passed away on 30 May 2015, dad passed 19 May 2020, mom passed 01 Oct 2022. At this point in time we have no plans to return to South Florida to live for reasons stated in previous paragraph.
Update: 02 Apr 24, Still in Abilene, enjoying life and looking after our grand kids near Dallas and Wellington, Florida when called upon. Hope all you fellow graduates are doing well!
