I've been through quite a few changes over the decades. School was never a place I felt safe. I never really had friends. ck then. I knew I was transgender back when I was 11 years old, but I didn't have the words or the support to articulate what was going on in me. I wish I was able to figure this out a long, long LONG time ago. I don't stay in touch with anyone back in the old hometown, but I am me now.
