Jeffrey's Story
Life
After graduating from high school, I enrolled at Texas A&M within the next month. Over the next 12 years I took a break from school for only a couple of summers. I completed a BA in Chemistry with a minor in Philosophy, then a Master of Divinity from seminary, then switched to engineering, graduating with a PhD in Chemical Engineering in 1983.
I met my wife, Joyce, in 1972, on the ...Expand for more
beach at South Padre Island. We married a year later and have just celebrated our 30th anniversary. We have 4 children.
After finishing my PhD I started as a new Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Oklahoma. I've been here 22 years, now, and have been both Chemical Engineering Department Head and, for the last 5 years, Associate Dean of the College of Engineering.
