Life
I was married in 1981 to Julie Miller from Cary, IL.
We have two children, Richard and Thomas, who are both active in the church and scoutingg
My original career goal was aerospace engineering, but that took a sharp turn right after high school. I ended up in the public safety sector shortly after graduation.
I was a paramedic for 25 years (mostly paid on call) before retiring. I worked EMS in Elgin, Chicago, Lake Zurich, and Cary including a stint as a flight medic with Flight-for-Life in McHenry. I was also a paid on call firefighter for 20 years with the...Expand for more
Cary Fire Dept. I am currently the Chief of the Kildeer Police Department in southwest Lake County, IL.
I have a computer consulting business on the side that deals primarily with public safety computers, software, and networking and serve as the system administrator for the Lake County 911 system's computer aided dispatch system.
In my spare time <g>, I enjoy reading sci-fi and techno-thrillers, military and spy novels. I also enjoy our annual family vacations in Florida. I am also working at completing my undergraduate degree sometime before Y3K.
