Life
March 11, 2006...Finally, a rainy day in the valley of the sun!!!
My Bio!
I believe that my life is totally complete. We (my wife and I) have a spiritual foundation that cannot be shaken, material stability, and contentment beyond measure.
My surveillance and PI. business is going in the right direction with increased sales and installation's of the equipment that we offer. My 18+ year contracting business is still going strong. The profit from it goes toward building our savings for a rainy day. My wife has a stable position with the govt. In this way, our health care is provided, although we have not had to take advantage of it.
Of course with all of the above, we continue to set goals for ourselves. My goal is to stay healthy and physically active. Each week, I play intense racquetball with friends who are much younger than I am, and still teach them a thing or two.
My wife is a little more active. Jazzercise 2 to 3 times per week and Ballet at lease 1 a week.
We love to travel. We have been to Michigan two times, once for our 10th anniversary, and again 3 years later. We have been many times to California, San Diego, San Francisco, Pismo Beach just to name a few. Also, spending time in the New England area was a nice highlight of our travel experiences.
Although my wife and I do not have children together, she has 2 nieces here in the Phoenix area. We are looking forward to taking them to Disneyland in November.
Some close friends and I will be taking a trip back to the Gulf States to assist in the rebuilding work. We are not sure where we will be assigned, but we are looking forward to it. We know that we will be going to Baton Rouge, LA, getting our work assignment, and going on from there. Our projected departure from Phoenix will be May 5 and we will be staying there for 2 weeks. Since we will be driving, the trip will actually extend to about 3 weeks. We will be taking two 5th wheel vehicles pulling enclosed trailers with our tools.
I'll add to this a little later.

August 2007
I've been a little slow in updating my profile. The trip to New Orleans (not Baton Rouge...assignment changed)took place in May 2006. We had 3 in our car group...myself (I drove) and 2 of my Christian brothers. We had the priviledge of working on about 6 houses in our 2 week stay there. Keep in mind that the homes that all of us worked on were homes that were damaged (even severly), not the ones that were destroyed! Overall, the entire group who worked out of our base has completed 500 homes. The scope of the work was as small as fixing a leaky roof to full remediation. That would include stripping off the da...Expand for more
maged roofing, all of the mold infested walls, insulation, damaged wooden studs, and what ever else had to be removed. Then crews went in to access the restoration of the home. At that time, the materials were sent out to the home and installation began. New roof, insulation, walls, countersco and counter tops, cupboards, electrical, plumbing (when necessary), carpet, trim, doors, windows etc. When we finished the installation, many of the homes were a thousand times better than before Hurricane Katrina hit.
We visited the 9th ward 5 days after the city opened it up for the public to go in. There was 85% total devastation. The few brick homes in that area were still standing, but you could see the water flood line almost up to the roof. There were only 3 or 4 home owners who came back to find personal items that they could salvage from their flooded home. We spoke with them and attempted to give words of encouragement. Being there is still very fresh in my mind and heart. I really wish that I could have remained longer that the 2 weeks that I was there. Life, bills, and family responsibilities go on, so home we came.
We did have some relaxation while in New Orleans. We went to the French Quarter. It seemed like a world away from the devastation.
I will add more later.
Workplace
Business update as of March 2006...Business is going very well. We are doing many installations in the commercial field. 1st, we sell video and audio surveillance and recording equipment to homes and businessess.
2nd We also install systems to meet a clients needs.
3rd We provide surveillance and private investigation services to those who "Need To Know" what is going on in their lives.
August 2007
Business is growing. We have purchased a Ford E-350 with a pass through feature (Braun Mini-Mod) that allows access from the front seats to the rear compartment. We have a complete surveillance mobile system built into the rear of it complete with 24/7 8 channel audio and video digital recording, 65 foot mast, pan and tilt cameras, and wireless A/V communication. We use it for 3 purposes. 1. As a mobil show room to demonstrate the surveillance equipment to new clients. 2. As our installation vehicle. 3. To do our Private Investigation services from it.
We had it painted black in order to blend in during night time surveillance operations. During the day, it stands out like a sore thumb. We use 2 other vehicles for daytime use. I will be adding the picture of T-Rex (that is what we have affectionately named the surveillance vehicle) to my web site NeedToKnowSurveillance soon. You can visit it there.
Well, enough update tonight. Will do more later.
