Jennie's Story
Life
I currently work at Lincoln Financial Advisors in Madison. I have three children, Alexia(9), Zachary(7), and Jordan(6). After graduating from MBBC, I taught at Southside Baptist in Oaklawn for two years. Then I moved back to WI, and taught at Calvary Baptist for two years. While I was teaching and coaching there, I also worked part-time at Maurices ( clothing store). My third teaching job was at Waupun Correctional Institute teaching Adult Basic Education to maximum security inmates. I really enjoyed that position the best! I watched a 65 year old man learn to read for the very first time! While I was there, I was married and my daughter was born(09/98). One month after my daughter's birth, I had a brain tumor removed. k closer to my home as we were living in Sun Prairie at the time. After Fanny Farmer I was a customer service supervisor for TDS Metrocom. During that time(2001), my oldest son, Zachary was born. Then a year later and 3 days(01/02)!, Jordan came along. I stayed home until Jordan was 8 months old. In order to spend time with my children, I took a position at LaPetite Academy. I worked with various age levels there, until deciding to have my home in-home daycare. After two years of inhome daycare, I went back to the workforce and am now at Lincoln Financial and really enjoy my job! I am responsible for keeping the office compliant and running! Unfortunately my marriage went through many ups and downs and we were divorced. So, now I work and spend time with my kids! I also help run a retail business on the side.
