Jennifer's Story

Life Jamie and I married in 2000, we have 5 boys, Ty, Tre, TJ, John-Wesley, and Jeremie (that tubal ligation thing didn't work out so well for us....my tubes were tied after the 3rd). The boys like to ride dirt-bikes, hunt, fish, climb trees, and have really gotten in to helping my parents on the ranch. I still have horses, and once the younger boys are older, I will be barrel racing again. I am a stay-home-mom, and raise dogs (Papillons, you can see them by googling "jbar papillons"). Before having so many kids, I was a Vet Tech...the only job I truly loved. We own a house and 5 acres 10 miles outside Carlsbad ,and it will be paid off in the few years (knock-on-wood). The two youngest boys are 3 and 4, so I don't get to do much. They have both had to have surgeries to correct some hearing loss, which worked well for one but the other still has a hard time. We spend a fair amount of time in the ER, with the 3 older boys falling out of trees, wrecking dirt bikes, and generally trying to kill each other. Other than that, life is pleasant and uneventful. I wouldn't have it any other way. I am the family photographer, so there are not many pictures of me, and because I have a complex about getting older and gaining weight, I avoid having my picture taken anyhow. Aside from Country Music, I also listen to Grunge/Gothic Rock (Evanescence, Avril Lavigne, Creed...ect). My Tv shows are ER, house, Bones all the CSIs and Lost. If none of those are on, I am outside or on the computer. School Though I grew up in Eunice, lived there from ar...Expand for more
ound 1976 to around 1988/89, I wasn't really tight with anyone, after grade school, or had any close friends. Seems that when we started getting into our teens, and the "town kids" started being allowed to do things that I couldn't, we started growing apart, after that, I suppose I was considered weird because I had a deep love for horses, and that was all I was really interested in. Rodeo and playdays were the only activity I participated in, and really the only thing I was allowed to do. I was by no means competitive at it, but that was my passion. We moved away for awhile and back to Eunice in 88. I was still kind of a loner, but there were a few I thought highly of. I was never picked first in PE for anything, but on days we played softball, I was picked within the first 5...I couldn't throw, catch or run worth a darn, but I could hit the ball far enough that the rest didn't matter too much. I was not allowed to date in Eunice, but there were a few I would have liked to. So then I moved to Carlsbad and becames friends with Tammy Hasty, Tonyia Yockey and Lynette Lloyd, and am still very close with Tonyia, probably closer than we would be if she still lived here, because we still have nothing in common. In fact, I had nothing in common with any of them, really. My HS sweetheart was Tim McCarty, we went to all the Billy Grandi dances and 3 proms together (he was a grade younger, so his senior prom was my 3rd, and my jr prom was his 1st). I had a wonderful time through High School, and I owe that to Tonyia and Tim and his wonderful family.
