Jennifer Bond's Story
I am living in Garland, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. My husband, Brian, and I have lived in and around the Dallas area for the past 18 years. I have now been married for half of my life....!
Though I never knew that I would, I homeschool my children, who are now 13 & 10. Now I get to learn all the stuff I should have learned in school had I been truly paying attention. :) I still compose & arrange music, mainly sacred, vocal music, and play the piano....I wonder if anyone out there remembers me singing "Shenandoah" with the NFA choir? I think of it often.
My husband is one of the pastors of a small church we helped "plant" 10 years ago in Dallas. Our church is growing and a source of delight to us all.
I miss New England a lot - but living in Dallas has a lot of perks, namely the conveniences and excitement ...Expand for more
of the city, and I focus on that. I'll always be a Bozrah girl at heart, however. If you are still in that area, enjoy it for me!
I was such a mouse in high school, I'm not sure if anyone is even interested in my profile.... I'll never forget being asked, in my senior year, when I started coming to NFA. My response was, "I sat BEHIND you in freshman year history..." That about explains it. NFA overwhelmed me - I'm a small-school, small-town person. We've created our own small town here in Dallas, with a limited group of very dear friends.
I'm not sure who will read this (out of all those hundreds of kids, I'm sure I knew and was known by only a handful) but I do think about people from NFA (and Fields Mem) and wonder about them...if you're reading this, then you're most likely one of those people.
