Jennifer's Story
Life
I'm living in New Palestine, IN right outside of Indianapolis now. I married my best friend, Andy, whom I met while in college at Miami University (of Ohio). We got married back in Oct. of 2000. We have 2 boys, Noah, who was born in 2005 and Max who was born in 2011. My husband is a scientist in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry. I am currently teaching piano with about 30 students and get to do this from home and be a stay-at-home Mom as well. We lived in Boston, MA for almost 8 years prior to living in Indianapolis.
Workplace
I've worked as a Veterinarian Assistant in High School. In addition, I also worked in an after-school program at Beachland Elementary, at my father's doctor's offices as a receptionist and investigating insurance claims, and as a receptionist at Palm Garden's Nursing Home and at a fitness ...Expand for more
club. When I went to Miami University I worked as a Student Manager for Shriver Center, our student union.
Since school, I have worked for Ohio State University Medical Center as a Medical Receptionist. When I moved to Boston, I switched to nannying which I have totally loved. I nannied for 2 families. I nannied for each family for approximately 4 years. I also did some substitute teaching at the Jewish Community Day School and some side jobs as an organizer. When we moved to Indy, I got the opportunity to be a stay-at-home Mom and picked up a couple at home businesses like Uppercase Living and Shaklee. However, after a couple of years, word got around that I played piano and enjoyed teaching children to play and my piano studio was started. I now have about 30 students that I teach out of my home studio, Studio J Piano.
