Jennifer's Story
Life
I graduated from JDSS in 1997. I went to Fanshawe College for 2 years. During this time I lived in an apartment with my best friend Lisa. After graduation I moved in with my boyfriend Matt, I had several part time jobs with different Community Living organizations. Matt and I were married on November 17, 2001. We had our first child on April 27, 2003. He was born 11 weeks premature and was in the hospital until July 11, 2003. We named him William John Irwin after his paternal grandfather. nitively he is doing well. He recieved a cochlear implant on Nov 9th 2004 and as of Dec 9th 2004 he has been able to hear. He is the light of our lives! Matt and I built a new home outside of Lucknow in the Spring of 2003. March 30 2006 we welcomed a baby girl into our family. Shae Lynn Marie was 9lbs 1oz at birth. It has been a busy few years. I work nights for Community Living in Wingham. Matt works at Volvo in Goderich. I am still close friends with Lisa (Byers) Kerr. She lives about 5 miles from me with her husband Lee, her son and 2 daughters. Life sure has changed since high school but I have everything I wanted, a good marriage and two wonderful children.
