Jennifer's Story
I moved around a lot in Sarasota because my mom had "issues." She had to go away when I was in 7th grade in Sarasota and it crushed me. I went from being a straight A kid to sulking quietly through Brookside's halls and failed 7th grade.
I moved with my grandmother to Tampa and finally had some stability. I redid 7th grade at Young Jr. High where I met Mark. I went to Buchanan Jr. High and then Gaither.
After high school, I majored in Elementary Ed. at USF. There was a freeze on hiring when I graduated, so I continued teaching preschool as I had done all through college.
Mark and I were married in May of 1992. When our first son was born, I began life as a stay-home mom. We now have 2 more kids (an eight year old boy and a 7 year old girl).

We are all very involved in Scouts. I am a Brownie leader with 16 little girls in my troop.

**Note about my last name. My step-father had my name changed to his last name when I was in preschool. I attended school as Jennifer Clark until mid-way through high school. At that time I had stumbled across a copy of my birth certificate. Since that man had divorced my mom when I was in elementary school, I asked to have my biological dad's name. So it was changed back to Herhold. So if you knew me from 1974-1985, I was Jennifer Clark to you, but if you knew me later, I was Jennifer Herhold.
