Jennifer's Story
Life
Where to start? So much happens in life in just a few short years. I attened Everett Community College for a year and then transferred to Skagit Valley College for 2 years where I got my Associates Degree in Business Management and Accounting. Since college, I have found a career, a best friend and his son to spend the rest of my life with, bought a house and a nice car, met some really wonderful friends, and my parents got divorced. I met my husband to be in 2001 right before 9/11. Ryan had a son, Benit, right after we got together and he has pretty much lived with us since then. Ryan is an electrician and a home theater specialist, and has brought all of his theater work home, so we are very popular on movie premier nights. We have been engaged for a while now, but as each day turns to the next, we already feel as if we are married. We bought my moms house in Stanwood from her in 2002, when she moved to New Mexico after the divorce. I know we all complained about living in the sticks in High School, but I really think now, that it is wonderful. It is nice to have somewhere not to far that is away from all of the stresses of work and the city. I have found that the commute is really not that bad. We are planning to get married in November 2006, on the anniversary of the d...Expand for more
ay we met. I can't wait to have all of my family in one place again, and to work on a bigger family of our own. I guess I have gotten alot farther than I thought I would. I hope that everyone else is happy and healthy. Drop me a message if you would like to catch up.
Workplace
I have been lucky to experience many different jobs in the last few years to finally decide what I want to do. I am currently an Office Manager for a company that does insurance auditing and am working towards becomming a full time auditor, so that I can spend more time at home with my family. I have had a few interesting jobs since high school. I was the assistant manager at Stanwood Cinemas when I first started college. Then I worked in retail for a while. After 9/11, I became unemployed for about a year and then took on a management job at a Golf Course. I happened to fall into my next job as a brokers assistant for Wells Fargo Investments. I decided that the stock market is too stressful of an industry, as I almost ended up in the hospital for working so much. I had to find a job that was less demanding (that was what the doc said). I have found the most wonderful bosses ever and love what I do now. They are training me to become an auditor so that I can stay at home more and have more kids.
