Jennifer's Story
Life
After high school I went to Central where I graduated with degrees in Education and Science and Math. I taught for 1 year in Wapato then decided it was time for a change so I moved north of the Arctic circle. I got my masters in Technology and worked as a Technology Trainer for The Northwest Arctic Borough School District for 6 years. I changed jobs and went back to teaching after the birth of my son. Workplace
I am currently working for the Northwest Arctic Borough School District as a Technology Trainer. The school district is located in Northwest Alaska about 30 miles north of the Arctic Circle. There are 11 small villages spread across 38,000 square miles with no roads. I travel in small planes from village to village to work on computers, train teachers, and teach the kids how to use the computers.
