Jennifer's Story
Life
Hi! I'm still in the big town of Centerville. A little bit has changed not much though. I'm a divorcee of 15 years and I have a 17 year old daughter. She's now attending Centerville High School as a senior. I enjoy my life and the peacefulness it has. I'm laid back and this is definitely the place to do it in. There's something to be said about the simple life. I wouldn't give it up. I now work at the Appanoose County Courthouse in the Treasurers office. My official title is Motor Vehicle Deputy. I'm getting more involved in the property tax side and learning to balance the office finances. There is so much more that goes on there then I realized. I love it though. I spend my time either working, reading which I love, watching my daughter play tennis (which she decided not to do this year), watch her manage those boys in soccor (I'm so proud watching her deliver water and keeping stats lol), her dance recitals or her choir contests. She's very talented. She's a teen and spends a lot of her time with her friends which is fine. I enjoy the quietness of my house. Besides, it's getting me ready when she goes off the college in the fall of 2008.
I have a half beagle/half lab named Duke, I have 3 cats; M&M, Putter and Lily and they keep me very busy. It's like having 4 more kids in the house. These 4 plus the unlimited teens running in and out of my house all the time. Reminds me of whe...Expand for more
n I was young. I love it!!!!!!!!!
Since I have more free time than I used to, I have decided to go back to college and get my degree. That is the only regret I have ever had in my life. It's rather hard to do when a person works full time but I get it done and I might add that I have a 4.0 which is soooo much better than I had in high school. I guess it means more to me now plus when I have to pay for classes it motivates you to do better.
Spring is here and with it comes Prom which is this weekend 4/12/2008 and my daughter has her dance recital next weekend, and of course graduation is next month. Never thought when Nicole started preschool that time would move so fast. But we have arrived and I feel so not ready. Yet time will move whether I'm ready or not so I better get moving.
Workplace
After 15 years of working at JCPenney the store closed and I had to find a new job. As my old bio stated I didn't have to worry long. My job ended the last week of July and I started my new job as a Motor Vehicle Deputy at the Appanoose County Treasurers office just 3 weeks later. (I actually had another job in that 3 weeks time) I've never had trouble finding a job. Anyway I didn't know how to enjoy nights, weekends and every holiday off until I got this job. It's great!!! Now I have time to come home make a decent meal.......to no one. My daughters always off with her friends. It's very ironic.
