Jennifer's Story
Life
After working some odd jobs and trying to attend school, I met my husband, Adam, and moved to Maryland. We were married 10/2000. We have a daughter, Rebecca born 10/2002. We also have a son, Peter, born 2/2005. I stopped work when we decided to start a family, and I am now a full-time homemaker. I work part time at Myrna Associates, Inc., with my in-laws, which affords me the opportunity to work without having to put my children in daycare, and also to let the children see their grandparents more.
School
I stopped school in 6th grade, and switched to "homeschooling." The best thing I can say about...Expand for more
it is that it was relatively short and I was able to earn my GED at 16.
College
I started at TCC at 16, after taking my GED. I spent 2 1/2 years there, graduating with honors and an Associates in Arts degree. I went on to Florida State, where I studied Social Work, Psychology, and Criminology. I would love to return to school to become a Medical Examiner/Coroner.
Workplace
I've held so many jobs over the years, everywhere from a radio station, to a restaurant, to a telecommunications firm specializing in cell phone towers. It was diverse and fun, but I'm very happy to be focusing on raising our children.
