Jennifer's Story
Life
Where do I start?
Single mother of four wonderful kids. Susan & Stephanie (AKA The Twins), Sydney and Fox. The twins graduate high school THIS YEAR. Published artist (I do covers for children's books). Participate in local theater. Working on my voice acting career. In my spare time I coach softball and organize fan conventions (mostly for Disney's Gargoyles). Own and operate my own t-shirt design business and work full time at Sony Television Animation on the new animated series "The Spectacular Spider-man" as a Production Assistant. Feeding 4 kids on one paycheck isn't as easy as it looks. ;)
... Randomly... It's really strange how some things come back around in life. How old friends drift back into and out of your life... for bad and good. I've had the bad... now I'm working on the good. ;)
School
I loved High School. It was where my life was happy. I spent as much waking time there as they would allow, joining clubs and programs that kept me after hours and before school as well.
We all make mistakes in high school, but I'd never want to go back to change anything. Even the rough times and the big mistakes. It's helped me be what I am today and I am thankful for each experience.

College
Went to Glendale Community College and intended to join the Air Force. This plan changed when I found out I was pregnant with twins. I then went to trade school which taught me the computer skills I needed to continue on.
Workplace
There were the standard teen jobs. Kae and Rick's Hallmark? YMCA? After trade school, I worked for Reservations, Inc. for almost two years before a school friend got me a job working with her at CIGNA Healthcare.
Worked there several years before staying home to be a full time mother. In that time I started my own web business, artchicks.org and helped my husband to build his own security alarm business (which he would later lose under the most ridiculous reasons).
After the kids were all in school, I took on odd jobs around town to help keep our income up (and pay for private schools! OUCH!) So I've spent time working as a hostess for a winery, working part time in my husband's office and as a gas station attendant. But, it was for the kids, so it makes it worth it.
I'm currently working as an Post Production Assistant for Sony TV Animation on a GREAT show (Spectacular Spider-man) and in my spare time I still run the web business and design children's book covers.
