Jennifer's Story

Here goes! Married then divorced. Worked, worked, worked. Became an adult (a real one this time) and worked plenty more. I met the only man I could ever want to have children with and moved across the ocean to Belgium so we could be together. We got married. We have 2 gorgeous girls together (Oceane 6 and Sierra 4). And are currently in the process of buying our first home (and our last). It was very difficult to leave all that was known to me for a life of absolute unknowns. HOWEVER, I now have a life that I would never change... not for anything. My biggest surprise? How do I choose only 1? Perhaps it is best to say that the biggest (and best) surprises have come from learning how strong a person I truly am. The oceanic move was extremely difficult (culture shock, learning a new language, a new way of life and new social acceptances). That was all very challenging but I think the biggest surprise of all happened 4 years ago. When I was in the hospital (after birthing Sierra) my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkins disease (cancer). I could not imagine at the time how we would have the strength to deal with a toddler, a new born and this life taking disease. So, I know you are wondering how it turned out... fortunately, Olivier is amazing and healthy and so are our 2 girls (with as little damage as possible ;). It is an awing experience to watch and be a part of the everyday fight for life. No m...Expand for more
atter how damaging it may seem at the time, the biggest surprise is when the fight can end and we can take a deep cleansing breath realizing that we made through. Yes, the biggest surprises have come through self realization. True happiness for me is what I have and know now: Olivier, Oceane and Sierra. The will to always improve and remain optimistic as well as the security of knowing that I determine my outcomes... you know, all that boring psycho babble. The only thing left to add is our new home! (Not that I believe happiness comes from posessions but perhaps a little false security isn't so bad...) I hope that all my old classmates can remember me as being genuine and caring with a dash of spontaneity. I have never lost my sincerety our my willingness to help others and in fact, I do hope that through my daily acts, Oceane and Sierra shall take on these characteristics as well. I must be honest in saying that I do not remember very much of my school years. However, this could be a good thing! It means that nearly all of you have a good clean slate in my book! Ahahahaaa! Do not hesitate to send me a word sometime. (JENNA.DANEELS(AT)GMAIL.COM) OR through Facebook(dot)com! I am not a 'Gold Member' so this is the best way to contact me. I love meeting new people and catching up with old acquaintances! So surprise me by showing up in my 'inbox'! I can't wait to read from you... Hope to find you there!
