Jennifer's Story
Life
Graduated from OU in 2002 with degrees in journalism and political science. Was editor of the loved and loathed Oklahoma Daily.
Moved to New York City and received my master's from Columbia University's School of Journalism. After an unsuccessful round of interviews the following summer, I came back to Norman and eventually found a job as the night editor of the newspaper in Muskogee, Okla.
Five months later, I moved back to New York to take a job with the Wall Street Journal Online, where I am an interactive news editor and writer. I live in the East Village with my boyfriend of almost seven years. I'm also teaching as an ajunct professor at Columbia.
I'm back in Norman five or six times a year to see my family, friends and OU football games.
Feel free to drop me a line. I'd love to hear from you. And you can always stay on my couch if you're passing through the Big Apple (even though we don't really call it that).

College
I went to OU for undergrad and had a blast. I pledged Delta Gamma and worked on the campus newspaper, where I was editor-in-chief my senior year. I was named Outstanding Senior in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications in 2002. During school, I interned for The Daily Oklahoman's Washington bureau and The Boston Globe. After graduating from OU, I went to graduate school at Columbia University in New York, where I received my master's in journalism in 2003.
Workplace
I work at the Wall Street Journal Online in downtown New York, where I oversee the Politics & Policy section of the site and occasionally write about campaigns, elections and the debate over Social Security reform. I'm also an adjunct professor at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, teaching the New Media Workshop. On the side, I dabble in documentaries and Web production.
