Jennifer's Story
Life
Hello.
After high school graduation, I spent a year at Eastern Oregon University. After deciding that was too far from home, I spent a semester at home going to Oregon Coast Community College before transferring to Western Oregon University. I completed a Bachelors degree in early childhood/elementary education and went straight through to get my Masters degree in elementary special education.
I completed my Masters course work in August 2000. Three weeks later, I got married, went on my honeymoon for a week, came back and started my job in Rainier the next day. I have been there ever since. I am very lucky that my district has been willing to work with me and my schedule so that I have been able to work less that full time in order to be home with Cooper.

er, and our brand new baby boy, Spencer. We have one dog, Buddy, who just turned eleven. I have been teaching with the Rainier School District for going on 9 years. Up until three years ago I was a K-6 Special Education Teacher, and for the past three years I have been working K-12 on special assignment, doing a little bit of everything special education related. I am very thankful and lucky to be able to continue in the same position next school year, which will allow me to continue working in the office three days a week and from home the rest of the time so I can enjoy as much time as possible with my boys. Cooper will be starting preschool next fall, so it will begin another new chapter for us. He attended open house this week, and we are all very excited, most of all Cooper.
When we are able, we very much enjoy going camping in our travel trailer and kayaking.
