Jennifer's Story
LIFE:
I've been married for 14 years, and have an amazing 18 year old son. He just graduated with honors from high school. He has memberships in the Honors Society, Spanish Honors society, and Technical Honors Society. He's about to start college to study engineering, and it looks like he'll be heading to FSU..Couldn't be more proud! . =)
We also have more quite a few other babies...2 dogs, and 4 cats. It's a regular wild kingdom around my house it seems sometimes.
We built our first home together in 2005 in a commnuity called Panther Creek. We've been here 7 years and we absolutely love it.
My husband is a VP at Bank of America. I myself am a homemaker, while pursing photography.
SCHOOL:
Hmm well to answer the main question would I do high school over again? I'd have to say probably not just no..but HELL no. LOL Maybe if I could take back with me all the knowledge I have now I would. Although there are some things I would enjoy going back and doing. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I hated high school. I just realize now with age how trivial and stupid things were and how crazed things were back then and such. I have a much different outlook on life. The biggest one being, you can't please everyone all of the time but only some of them some of the time. But mainly it's most important to do things for yourself. =) Ok Ok too analytical. LOL Anyways..moving on to next part ....................
COLLEGE:
When I was 17 I started FSCJ and started my general requirements, but eventually I got bored with it and instead at 18 I ...Expand for more
opted to drop out and work full-time in the corporate world. Once I hit my late 20's I always said "One day, when I get the money I'll go back to school" Well after 20 yrs of saying "one day" I finally realized that if I used that excuse I'd never make it back to school, so, I bit the bullet and age 39 I registered for classes. I'm actually getting multiple degrees...an AS in Management and Supervison, specializing in the Health care side of things, and a BA in Philosophy and Religion.. =) I have to say it's very interesting to have my son helping me with my classes...LOL But, I couldn't be happier!!.
WORKPLACE:
I currently don't work but when I did it was doing an array of things. First came a job as a cashier at Woody's BBQ right before my 16th b-day, then I moved from there to retail work, to receptionist work in a hair salon, back to retail where I was an asst mgr in a jewelry store, then as an operator for AT&T. Eventually as the world moved forward in technology it meant the need for human operators diminished, so with a huge lay-off from there it moved me into the world of insurance. I became an underwriter for life insurance at Prudential downtown for a few yrs, then I moved over to the medical insurance arena at BCBS of Florida where I worked till my husband and I decided that it'd be better for me to get out of the work field and focus on family.
So that's my long work history in a nutshell..LOL
MILITARY:
I have no military history. My husband grew up a military brat and that's about it. But, I support our troops completely!!!!
