Jennifer's Story
I'm living in Melbourne, FL and am happily married (on my second marriage). My first marriage lasted only a few months. My ex-husband later passed away from Leukemia. He gave me the most precious thing in my life- my daughter. Her name is Haley Elisabeth. Everyone says she looks just like me. I say a little- she definitely has some looks from her father. He had Native American roots- she was lucky enough to inherit his height and high cheek bones. She passed me in height last summer. She's currently four inches taller than I am. My current husband's name is Marlon Magdaong. He's from the Philippines. I did not take his last name since I did not want to have a different last name from my daughter. They say opposites attract and we are total opposites. He's the yang to my yin :-). He keeps my hot headed temper in check. He has three daughters from his first marriage. We are both on our second (and last) marriages. He's 13 years older than me. Two of his daughters have children. His youngest is graduating high school this year. One of his daughters moved to Melbourne last year, so we get to see that grandson a lot. He's adorable. I never thought I'd be a grandmother at this age- but I love it. I get to spoil him, play with him, kiss him,...Expand for more
hug him- all the fun stuff When he fusses (or poops), I can give him back to his mama. I have pics of my daughter, stepdaughter and grandson in my album. Athena is my stepdaughter and Caleb is my grandson. I love motherhood. Haley, my 13 year old, keeps me busy. I'm fortunate that I get to work from home, so I pick her up from school. Her only activity this year is dance. She has that three nights a week. She's been in dance since she was four. I never thought I'd ever be as happy as I am today. I'm truly blessed. I live only a few miles from mother. She's the reason I moved to Melbourne several years ago when I left my husband. Haley was only a few months old. It was a sad time. I could not have made it through without my mother there to love and support me. My father is still living in Lake County. I visit him a few times a year. I have a half brother who is 18. He graduated from high school this year and is a Freshman at Full Sail in Orlando. My brother, Jonathan is still in Astor. He still dabbles in art- he took up tattooing several years ago. He's given me two (I have three total). That's the downside of free tattoos from your brother. I had a wonderful time at the 20th year reunion. Can't wait to see everyone at the next one.
