Jennifer's Story
Life
After graduating from ENSS, I went to SSFC in Peterborough and took the Educational Assistant course. After I graduated I completed most of my American Sign Language courses. This allowed me to get a position for the Kawartha Pine Ridge DSB as a supply in Peterborough.
As an EA I have worked mainly in the special needs classes. I like them best, you get to work with a team of people. I have been at James Strath P.S. for 2 years now. It is great b/c I don't have to answer the question of when my CO-Op is over! I have started a sign language club for the whole school. Right now I have 40 kids... hopefully, it stays at that number!

d in November after college. He gave me the most romantic proposal you will ever know (it is too long to tell). We married on May 25, 2002. Julie D. from h/s was a bridesmaid. Chad and I live in Cavan (near Ptbo) with our yellow lab Mason. Many ask if there are babies.... no, not until we have a house. We are in the process of severing off land.
Being and EA doesn't pay the bills, so I also work at a group home in Lindsay, on evenings and weekends. The house I mainly work at is for adults with special needs who are also dealing with Alzheimers. It is quite an interesting job!
That is about it... scary that you can cram 10 years into such a short summary!
