Life
I'll try to make this as brief as possible or you can just look me up on myspace - my tag is joyfulgirl41. Anywho, after graduation, I moved to Indianapolis, but my parents missed me desperately, so I moved back home. I met my first husband and we married in 1993. I gave birth to our daughter, Kaetlin, in July 1994. I was fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home mom for the first 15 months of her life. We then moved to Covington, KY, and it was there that I discovered my marriage just wasn't working. I moved back to Corbin with Kaetlin and began divorce preceedings. Kaetlin attended school while I worked as Human Resources Manager of a large nursing facility. After working there for almost 5 years, I really needed a change. I knew there was something lacking in my life and it sure wasn't in Corbin. I had made up my mind and that was that! I began looking for employment in Lexington, KY and I was hired as a Patient Services Specialist at a major sportsmedicine clinic. I lived in Lexington for 3 years and it was there that I discovered a lot about myself. Once I had my revelation, I moved back to Corbin, again, and did something that I had never, which I'm sure that everyone that I went to school with had expected of me; I went to college. I enrolled at Eastern Kentucky University and first majored in Public Relations. I had big dreams of moving to my favorite city, New York, and doing PR in the music industry. Everything was going as planned until I met Ryan, my ex-fiance. We met and fell in love and suddenly I began to see life in an entirely different perspective! ve more children with him (one or two) and New York really isn't a place to raise small children. I changed my degree to Elementary Education with emphasis in English/Communications. As you can see, I've been a very busy gal! I am currently substitute teaching for Knox County Board of Education and I'm residing in Heidrick, KY, Ryan's stomping ground. I attend EKU full-time in pursuit of an ever-rewarding career in teaching. Only one more year to go, thank goodness! Ryan and I were engaged on May 7th, 2005. Everything was going wonderfully and I found out in December 2007 that I was pregnant. The both of us were extremely excited. Then, to my complete surprise, Ryan left me two months later. I don't know if it was the anxiety of him not thinking he'd be a good father or if he thought that eventually our relationship would sour like his parents did and he didn't want to put the baby through it - I have no answer. But, I am a survivor and I will get through this! I am now 5 1/2 months pregnant and each day is a new miracle for me. I can feel my baby boy constantly squirming and kicking and I am looking very forward to the day when I see his face. Other than that, my daughter and I are now livign alone and we have two cats: Ms. Mousy and Binx. When we actually have time to relax, I enjoy shopping, listening to music, decorating our home, spending time with my best friend in the world - Emily, reading, collecting books, writing, road trips - we recently got back from Memphis - Kate is a HUGE fan of Jerry Lee Lewis, movies, visiting art museums, and going to concerts. Never a dull moment in my life!
