Michelle's Story

You wouldn't believe the roller coaster ride I have been through. In 2000 I was pregnant with my son and found out I had cancer. When you here these words at such a young age, you think I'm not ready to die. I had gotten my partying out of the way. And those who know me, knew I was a partier! But at 23 I was ready to be a mother and a wife. I had racing thoughts, am I gonna die. Well I've been struggling with this now for 8 years. The tumors that were removed left me with chronic pain, so my fight goes on. I am cancer free but the tumors were in my nerves and it left me with severe pain. But I am still fighting. Remember, never take your health for granted. I just trust in God everyday to get me through the day. I still live in Carrollton, in the Highlands, my husband and I own our business, that keeps him busy. I have a wonderful little boy who is an A student. Both my husband and son take good care of me. I'm just happy to be surrounded...Expand for more
with love. One thing I have realized about life is that it is not about money or material things, it's about family and love. I sometimes think of all you friends that I had a Smith, and I hope you are all doing well. May God Bless you all. June 10, 2008, Still fighting but I was thinking, why tell all the bad, lets tell about some good. Before I got sick I was on my way to an acting career, did many commercials, Waker Texas Ranger, a lot of modeing, Runway, catalog, magazines, newspaper shoots, it was a lot of fun. My next phase since I can't do the things I used to do. I've completed one book, it's about to be published. I've also started another. I still have a lot of tweaking to do. My first book is about coping with pain for the patient as wel as the family. My next book is a thiller, It has sex, drugs, and some crazy people in it, peeps I use to actually know. But any ways I'll tell you when it comes out, tired now, over and out.
