Jennifer's Story
Life
Jennifer Got married to Robert(Bob)Lugo in 1996. They are currently living on the island in an apartment that was built specifically with Jennifer's and Bob's tastes in mind. Jennifer is a Head Teacher at a Daycare Center. Just like her parents she really enjoys spending time in a classroom. Her Husband Bob is a Magician and has fun doing children's parties, and adult E.S.P. Parties. Jenn and Bob have not been blessed with children and look forward to the day when they will be able to. In the meantime they work hard and enjoy being on the island. Jenn misses the mountains, but enjoys the time on the beach, and enjoys going to the city for concerts, plays, and other fun activities. With Bob's help Jenn has learned how to be a New York driver and how to use the horn well. They continue to be happy in what they are doing and enjoying there time together on Long Island.
School
I must say my real life experiences and fun did not start until I got the opportunity to be out of High School and get out of Tremonton. I had good friends, but I also never really fit in with the whole High School crowd. It was refreshing to get out of High School and really find myself in college. People actually found me interesting, fun, beautiful and it was nice to finally be asked out a lot and create a lot of fun. The teachers that inspired me the most were, Mr. Hunsaker, he taught me how to laugh, and have a fun time in the moment. Mr Hughes, the librarian helped me expand my horizons and helped me realize that I had potential to do great things. As far as crushes, I don't have to mention them here. I always held my heart out on my sleeve for all to see, and so if I ever had a crush on someone, they knew it. I was honest about it always, I know it leaves you open for hurt, but I was never good at hiding how I felt. As far as crazy moments, the craziest and funniest was having Mr, Wells throw us out of class, yelling and practically chasing us down the halls. I have never seen a funnier site. Those who were with me remember that moment, and when we talk about things and life gets crazy, we sit back and laugh all of the time about the whole 7 times that I got in trouble i...Expand for more
n High School. The thing I enjoyed about High School the most would have to be when Spirit week would be upon us and we had the chance to dress up. I loved dressing up in costume. I should of known then that would be my trademark at my Day care job, Anytime we have the opportunity to wear a silly hat, costume, or anything fun to wear,I am still the dress up queen.
College
University life rocks. I went to college at Dixie. It is a fun Party school, and it ruled to be that close to Las Vegas. I also enjoyed the time at Snow's Canyon, and I enjoyed the weather. It was nice to not have to purchase a winter coat. Utah State was fun, but not like the life at Dixie. I met some really good people though who truly help me prepare to serve a mission. I loved not scheduling any classes until 10:30 or later. I love being able to wear pajamas to class, and being able to miss class sometimes without to many penalties. I enjoyed being able to drop a class if I hated it. I took Early Education classes and Child Psychology classes. They were all very interesting. Right now I continue to take classes online, I am required to take 15 hours course work a year. It keeps me on my toes, and makes it so I am always learning better techniques and new things.
Workplace
My first work experience started during the summer of my junior year when I left home to live in Wyoming with some friends to work at a Hotel In Jackson, Wyoming. It was a fun job, and it helped me to make money to go to school. I worked in Jackson for 4 summers before my mission and one summer after. Then I moved to New York. I started out in Hotels here, but did not have enough language experience to continue so I moved on working in Retail. I worked at Michael's Craft store for a while. I was the Children's craft director, Then I was a Shoe Salesman at an Avenue Store, then a photographer at a Children's Photo Lab, and then I got a job as a Teacher assistant at a Daycare Center. Now I have been promoted to a Head Teacher position for a Full time position with the best hours. I love the fact that I don't work weekends, and I don't work nights. I found what I want to do, and I love going to work everday.
