Jennifer's Story
Life
I got my BA in English (creative writing) from San Francisco State University in May of 1995. Later that summer, my (then) boyfriend, Marino, and I moved to Chicago for 2 years while he got his MBA from the University of Chicago. We then lived in NYC for 3 years, where he worked on Wall Street & I worked in publishing.
We returned to the Bay Area in early 2000, and were married in July of that year, after dating & living together for 12 years.
Our daughter, Cecelia Grace ("Cece"), was born in August of 2002. She's a feisty, bright, funny little girl who's determined to do absolutely everything her Mommy & Daddy do. She's wise beyond her ...Expand for more
5 years. We welcomed our son, Nicolas Marino ("Nico") in August of 2006. He is our resident monkey: He loves bananas and can climb just about anything. He's got no sign of a tail, though, thank goodness! :)
After 4 years back home in CA, our jobs brought us back to the east coast at the end of 2003. We live in northern VA, just outside of Washington DC. Marino works in finance, and after several years as an editor, I am now a SAHM. I plan to return to grad school for my MFA once the kids are a little older.
