Jenny's Story
Life
After high school, I spent four years at the University of Northern Iowa, working on my BA in Studio Art (Painting) and minor in Theatre. I was in a few shows (favorites being "Cabaret" and "Hair") at UNI. After graduation and a year of deciding what to do with my life, I went on to the University of Iowa to get my MFA in Costume Design. I've designed over fifteen shows in the past five years and am currently the Resident Costume Designer and Shop Manager at Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, IA. e courses at Cornell, and I've found education to be something I really enjoy. I've also been fortunate to have spent summers working at Interlochen Center for the Arts, The Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis, and the Santa Fe Opera.
Two summers ago, I married a wonderful man named Craig (a former UNI printmaking classmate) who shares my passions for the arts, as he is a graphic designer, bookmaker, printer, propsmaster, and teacher. We have called Iowa City home for the past five years and just bought our first home here.
