Jenny's Story
I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1984 with a BS in Psychology.
I married in Aug 1985. My husband, Kevin, and I met at UTA when we were both active in the Bible Chair - our church on-campus ministry program.
I have a 22 year old son, Ben, who is a jsenior at Lubbock Christian University majoring in Computer Information Systems. He plans to graduate in December 2010.
For the last 10+ years I have worked at AIDS Outreach Center in Arlington in the field of HIV Prevention. I do Community Education programs about HIV and provide HIV testing and counseling in the Arlington office. Iwas laid off at the end of May 2010.
We are members at Woodland West Church of Christ where we have been involved in lots of different programs over the years. We have both taught Bible classes to a variety of kids across a variety of ages. We have helped with Bible Bowl preparations and trips, Leadership Training for Christ (LTC), Bible Hour, VBS, youth group activities, mission trip activities and I even went to church camp in New Mexico as a sponsor/driver/Bible teacher the summer of 2006.

ear in high school - at Foothill. I finished high school and attended college in Arlington, TX.
When I was in elementary school at Frontier and through junior high school I was involved in Girl Scouts. I have some great memories of Mrs. P's troop.
I started playing the viola in orchestra in Junior High and continued throughout high school, even after I moved to Texas. I have lots of fond memories of the Strolling Strings Ensemble and other events in Junior High orchestra.
I made some wonderful friends in elementary, junior and high school in CA. Through Facebook and Classmates I have been able to rekindle some of those relationships! It's awesome!!! As I sit here and think back, I had some great times back then. Who remembers playing four square at recess in elementary school? And field day? And the trip to Dillon's Beach and Sly Park (I think that was the name of it) in 6th grade? I'll never forget the girls' evening hike with Mr. Starkey where we encountered "big foot".
The friends I made at Foothill HS were great. I remember their love and support when my mom died and I had to move. We wrote letters to each other for a long time. But after a while we all just stopped.
