Jeremy's Story
So.
A lot of time has passed. As I write this, it's been 15 years. I can't quite decide if there's too much to include in the summary, or not enough. It's sort of strange to begin your own biography, isn't it?
After school I tried my hand at college. I took some classes at Uconn West Hartford with the idea that I would learn to be an engineer. Not being much of a party guy in high school, I'll have to say that my college education was a bit more focused on bacchanalian pursuits than I would have expected. After a semester I learned that I could have the same amount of fun without having to pay a tuition and that was pretty much the end of 'structured' education.
I did the free spirit thing for a while. Listened to Phish, backpacked various sections of the AT. (lived at home for longer than I should have) Chugged along at my job in a print shop to support the whole thing, but s...Expand for more
omething was missing.
And then the internet came along. In '95 I started playing a MUD that I'm almost embarrassed to say that I still pay for. I spent a lot of late nights playing that damned game. I'd stay up until 3-4 in the morning, crash for a little bit, and then head in to work for 8. I'd wake up just in time to log back in again after work was over.
It's not all bad though. I'm one of those guys that met his wife on the internet. Well, I can kinda say that. I went to a party that was a gathering of people who play the game. I was pretty drunk and wearing a dress for a skit that another girlfriend of mine and I were putting on, and I could of sworn to God that she was gay, but somehow we caught each other's eye.
Long story short, we've been married since 2001.
Now we're living in Bristol, and have 2 foster kids. I work in Farmington, and everything's going pretty well.
