Jerome's Story

Life Education: Attended San Jose State after Leigh, graduated with a degree in Art was one class away from minors in Chemistry, Philosophy, and Math. Been in and out of school and trade programs, technical and professional certificates like Scrum Master and Product Owner. Worked at San Jose Peace Center Counselling people wanting to be a Conscientious Objector or being dealt with prejudice by the military system. Instrumental in removing about a 100,000 men from Selective Service Roles including myself Business: Worked for Santa Clara County Social Services for 6 years, managed Brooks Cameras in Palo Alto, Been in sales and computers ever since: Various Resellers, Montgomery Securities as an IS person (held Series 7 license) Worked for Cheyenne Software acquired by Computer Associates, EMC (one of the drivers behind Internet storage practices) (helped sell 9 million dollar rollout plan with 20 minute presentation, and rescued Electronic Arts as an account by completing installation that had failed 4 times) Worked with a startup NOCPulse acquired by Red Hat. 2001 through 2004 during under unemployment, did several jobs doing mostly consulting to keep bleeding red to a minimum. Closest ever came to homeless (friend let me crash on his couch for 2 years) Sold cars at Toyota Sunnyvale 2004 to 2006. Worked for an integrator Triware Networld Systems (2006-2015) helping small businesses set up efficient technology use. Company name and the fact son of Principle Consultant is named Jerome are pure coincidence. Co-founded Hotspoters which after a year seemed like we were ahead of our time and did not have enough investment to move market as far as needed to survive cash burn. Was unemployed for a year and found it hard for 67 year old to get a job but experience goes a long way in consulting. Currently helping Startups with their presentations including Pitches and help facilitate the Agile practices. Also help with seeing options that are right...Expand for more
in front of them which I call "Visionary Thinking Partnerships". Been fighting depression for many years which sometimes gets the worst of me. Also had a micro stroke, arrhythmia and other minor medical issues, Which makes me more sympathetic to plight of others. Have friends much worse than I am which gives me perspective. I owe Richard Watkins a lifetime debt of getting me out of my own way. Fun: Been doing Tai Chi and Gym off and on for about 40 years currently off. Love to go out to people watch. Science fiction movies and some TV provide me with distraction. These days have a reading list that seems to be expanding to fill the rest of my life most if about how to change engagement in employment and social conditions. Recommend Runaway Inequality by Les Leopold and Reinventing Organizations by Frederic Laloux Social: Doing volunteer work Palo Alto Art Center, Silicon Valley SIMCenter with Kimberly Wiefling. Action Network with Les Leopold, and Indivisible. Am a Trainer for "Runaway Inequality" Work on Mark Sackett of Art of Active Networking's #MYGIVE4 movement. Support Local Filmmakers though Screen! and Creative Crew. Passion is fixing the issue that only 13% of the WORKING population feels engaged with the work they do. To say nothing of the unemployed. Everyone tells me this is too large a problem for me to make an impact on. I'll settle for equivalent of the 100,000 I got out of the Selective Service System though believe I can do much more. Personal: lived with a couple of women, one that married me for 10 years.(together 17) Have a daughter born in 1987 who happens to be named Renate Dorle Ware, thanks to Renate Reich for at least a first name both my X and I could aggree on. Currently share an apartment with two female roommates. My daughter had twins Dot and Kit 2016 May 2nd, which is also her birthday. My X-wife and her husband are two of my most dear friends and her family has been nice to keep me in their family.
