Jerry's Story
Life
After High School I attended college in the Bay Area for one year before we moved back to the Fresno area. I then went on a church mission for the Mormon Church where I spent 2 1/2 yrs. in South America. After I came back I went 1 semester to BYU before I enlisted in the military. There I spent 6 years in the Air Force mostly as an instructor in Electronics. I did a tour in Thailand and one in Vietman. I finished my service, in Denver, Colorado. I met my wife while I was working for Mountain Bell. We were married for 20+ years and had 2 daughters. I now have 4 grandkids who I would do anything for. My now x-wife (hate that term)and I are still in contact with each other, almost weekly. She has since remarried and her husband and I have become like two peas in a pod. the sixties and are both avid Harley riders. I own two. One to go fast and scare the hell out of myself and the other for trips or long rides into the sun set.
I worked for the phone company (Mountain Bell & AT&T) for 20 years before I was layed off in 93. I have since started my own company as a consultant in telecommunications. My latest claim to fame is my 4 years in Malaysia as the Senior, Network Engineer for a new greenfield airport built in the middle of the jungle. I have been back 2 years and I'm ready to go back. Our Company specializes in large, major airports. I'm currently working on a project at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago.
I have degrees in Architectual Design and Civil Engineering. My goal is to go back to school and do graduate work in Technical Management.
