Jerry's Story
After Jordan I went to LBCC. I got my AA in 1987 in Business, then to CSU Dominguez Hills to get a BA in Philosophy in 1991. I stayed at CSUDH and earned my MA in Humanities in 2000 and started working on my Teaching Credential at the same time. I taught Math part-time at a private school (Sheenway) in South Central LA and did a lot of substitute teaching in Paramount & Long Beach for 3 years. I worked in retail (Gemco) for 8 years, in warehousing (Eastman / Office Depot) for 11 years, and have been at Jordan since 1998. A few odd jobs in between & concurrently such as construction, temp work, and tons of tutoring & drum lessons.
I got married in 1993. But the BEST thing that has ever happened to me: our 2 daughters (Alannah 19 & Serenah 15). Alannah is now attending UC Davis and Serenah is a Sophomore at Mayfair High.
