Jerry's Story
I retired in 2007 after 35 years of doing computer programming/software development at McDonnell-Douglas / Boeing in St. Louis. I spent a few years teaching Computer Science at the college level, but decided that I didn't care for academia.
I have been married since 1965. My wife Mary and I have two children: our daughter Joy has given us two fine grandsons; our son Mark has a doctorate in social psychology and has recently married.
My wife and I enjoy traveling and so far we have visited all 50 states and 5 of the 7 continents. Since we have retire...Expand for more
d, we take at least a short trip several times a year.
When we are at home, we keep busy doing volunteer work for our church.
My interests include history, biography, languages, and science. I didn't find those items listed on the questionaire, so I suppose they are not common.
In retrospect, I remember my years at Southwest High School (1956-1960) as some of the happiest of my life, although I probably didn't think so then. They were years of learning new things and of hope for the future. I still like to learn, and I still have hope for the future.
