Jerry's Story
Life
Jerry Marino - Bio. A versatile actor, director and writer, Jerry's been involved with Theater for over 30 years. A professional actor, his stage credits include a Broadway run as Mr. Lipari in the '98 Tony Award winning - A View From The Bridge which starred Anthony LaPaglia, Tony Danza and Allison Janney.
Regionally, Jerry received high praise for his portrayal of Earl in Adult Fiction at NJ Repertory in Long Branch. At Twelve Miles West, he performed in their productions of Guano, White Star, Chance Meeting, and Hitting for the Cycle.
Jerry is also founder of the Alliance Repertory Theatre Company, an associate member of the NJ Theatre Alliance, in residence at the Union County Performing Arts Center, Rahway NJ. Jerry played Donny in Alliance's highly acclaimed in...Expand for more
augural production of American Buffalo, and directed their productions of Three Tall Women and Children of a Lesser God, receiving Perry Award nominations for best direction. In Sept. '04 he played Nick in Anne Nelson's 911 tribute ÂThe Guys.Â
Locally in NJ, Jerry won an ACT award for his portrayal of Francis, the beleaguered Italian father in Gemini, and has since garnered two more acting nominations for Max in Laughter on the 23rd Floor, and Col. Nathan Jessup in A Few Good Men. His own play Perchance to Dream, was also nominated as the best original production in 1996.
Jerry has retired from his plastics brokerage business, JMar Alliance. Since '02 he is residing in the Poconos, near Lake Wallenpaupack, PA., where he is doing dinner theater at resorts in the area.
