Jerry's Story
I attended Clay Elementary from 1st through most of 3rd grade and would have been in the Class of 1959 if my family had stayed in Topeka through 6th grade. However, we moved back to Colorado. I still have my 3rd grade class picture and fond memories of my classmates. I do wonder what became of them all.

quite terrified of our 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Hamrahand (sp?). The boys called her Mrs Hammerhead. I remember one of the girls in my class overheard me refer to her as Mrs. Hammerhead and she ratted me out. I had to clean chalk board erasers on the bricks on the north wall of the school building for being disrespectful.
