Life Life has been a challenge but it has also been fun. As you have all found out, the real world is not like high school. But with God’s help I have found my way. After high school I attended Tacoma Vocational Tech. School for about a year, studying to be an engineers technician. Before I finished, I got a job working in the Bremerton Navel Shipyard (1961). There I became a welder. In the fall of 62 while on vacation in Texas I met some young ladies who lived in Chicago. I began corresponding with one of them. She invited me to come to Chicago. Later I decided to move to Chicago. Arriving in Chicago I got a job as a welder. Later I got promoted to a drafting position with the same company. That move lead to several other job changes until I became a computer programmer in 76. I worked in that field until 90.
