Jesse's Story
Life:
My Spouse
My wife, Jennifer, and I met at a mutual friend's lake house in 1993.
We dated for only 3 months and the rest is history. 17 years sure seems like a long time but it goes by pretty quick.
My Kids:
My son, Morgan, is a handsome, intelligent kid with a smart-ass mouth. (Have you ever met a teen without a smart mouth?) He will be 16 in January 2011 and he thinks he is 25. He is big into sports. Three years ago he tried out for and made a special team based out of Raleigh, NC. The team name was the "Capitol City Dream Team". The team traveled to Cooperstown, NY and played in a large tournament with 98 teams from across the United States including Hawaii, California, Texas and Puerto Rico. The team went 7-2 for the week and finished in 7th place. Last year, he was a leader on the 8th grade team in Junior Legion Baseball. He is playing against kids that are in the 9th through 12th grade. The team finished a 24 game season and won 9 times! Not bad for a bunch of young uns. This year his JV baseball team went 21-0 and he was pulled up to Varsity for the conference & state playoffs. They won the conference tournament but were eliminated in the 2nd ...Expand for more
round of the state playoffs. Southern Alamance is a huge baseball school in the 4A division. This summer he is playing on a showcase team that plays at college campuses as well as the local Junior Legion team. So far, the team is 9-1 on the year. The purpose of showcase ball is to play in front of college & pro baseball scouts. There is an average of 20-50 Division 1 college scouts as well as major league scouts at each tournament. MK held out on football last year and worked to increase his speed by running cross country. The course is 3.1 miles through trails (5K). He has improved his time from 25 minutes at the beginning of the season to 20 minutes. They run an average of 4-6 miles per day in practice. MK is also into basketball, singing, football & girls (not in that order).
My Job:
I work for a large truss supplier in the southeast, UFP Mid-Atalantic. I have been there for 11 years. My job title is "Account Manager". I work out of my home and my sales territory is Greensboro, NC and the surrounding triangle. My job is to do layouts for truss placement, pricing, negotiating, collection of payments and keeping everyone happy! Ha! Good luck with that!!!
