The summer after my senior year I worked for Nordstroms modeling and working Sales,worked at the Original Cookie Company(a dangerous place for me to work), worked on the construction site for the company my dad worked for one day a week (that was my best paying job), sang for weddings and cut hair in between the other jobs and set off for California at the end of the summer. I went to college at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM).I rented a room, slept on the floor,and lived on $8 a week for food. I was very determined! I worked for Bullocks as an Assistant Rep. for Ralph Lauren and the next year as an Interior Design Assistant when I started on the L.A campus. I started going by Jenna rather than Jessie because it was closer to Jennifer and I thought it sounded more professional since I had people trusting me with a lot of money! I met my husband my 2nd year of college at a church youth group Halloween party. I didn't want to go because I knew my roommate and my friend were trying to set me up with a friend of theirs, but my friend rented a Pope outfit for himself and a nun outfit and made me feel guilty... so I went as the nun. They introduced me and love to take credit that their plan worked! After college I moved from Pasadena to Huntington Beach where I rented a room from my future inlaws for a few months( bad desicion, I wouldn't recommend it) and then a guest house in Newport Beach that belonged to some of my Interior Design clients) and worked for Ethan Allen.
