Jessie's Story

School Well. I had mass fun in elemenary school. I was a self manager, peer mediator, a cross gaurd, was in the talent show, and was in the chior. My favorate teacher was Mrs.Pearcy 3rd grade. My frieds were Kathryn, Alia and Ariel. In Middle school I loved chior. I played Softball, Basketball and participated in Track. I was kind of the baggy pant girl trying to find out what group I belonged to. My cousin Crystal then came to live with my family during the school year. She was a year older than I. I guess I kind of looked up to her. She was more popular and I found it harder to make friends than she did. I was so shy. I learned a lot from Mr.Herber and Mrs.Capello. I think High School came too fast for me. Again I was a floater(I had a lot of aquaintances but little friendships).Ajusting to the new classroom environment was hard. I wish I were more organized. I should have stayed in chior, and planned for college early.Softball was a big thing for me. The coaches were so cool and I developed some friendships and memories there. Some teachers I enjoyed were Ms.Hawkinson, Mr.Weiner, Mrs.McDermott, Coach Johnson, Mr.Peacock and Mrs.Sullivan.I shared some life changing things at Everett too. The big Febuary Earthquake happend when I was going to Math class. The stairs were shifting back and forth in front of me.Also I woke up for school in September '01 and decided to see what the wheather would be like... no need to tell you what I saw, but school was a major help explaining what had ocurred. I enjoyed going to a high school that was located in the city and was surrounded by so many ethnic backgrounds. When the end of 10th grade was approaching, my parents informed me that we would be moving because of financial difficulties. I took it really hard unbeknown to my parents. I found it difficult to leave from softball mostly. From p...Expand for more
eople and places I had known my whole life. So we moved into my lovely aunt's house in a much smaller town, though I would attend the biggest high school in the state. I did not know a single person. My first day was a hard day. It was hard because I didn't eat lunch with anyone and began to isolate my self by keeping busy. The only happy and fun times were when I took the step to try out for softball. Alot of the girls I had heard of from my cousin. I hoped for Varsity but I was on JV. I met people so I wasn't totally a looser and it was relly fun. My Senior year, the most exciting fun year ever. Not... Well it was better, but I missed my old school. My new school was much different than my old one. It was way into sports, there wasn't as much diversity. And not tring to be mean. But, Academically my new school was teaching to a lesser standard. What was way cool about senior year was that I went to a technical school half of the time. It was a really great experience for me. I met a lot of cool people and learned so much more than I thought. I would recommend it to people who have a mechanical way of learning. Softball was still a big thing for me. I made Varsity but I found it was not all what I thought it would be. But it was a great experiecnce. Graduation came too quick. It was fun. I wish I had done a lot of things different in school, but I do not regret anything I experienced. I'm having trouble now, deciding what to do with my life. My first tought was to join the military, though it is still a thought. My others are:become a corrections officer, and open a shoe store. Odd I know but I lost the thought of becoming a Firefighter, and a nurse. Any suggestions? Well let me know. For now, I signed up for the Americorps and may be an elemenary school tutor. Thanks for reading this long bio of boring information. See ya!
