Jill's Story
Life
After leaving SRVCA I was homeschooled through my senior year. My family and I moved to Washington State when I was 15. Never went to college but had the chance to apprentice under an amazing copyeditor who taught me the trade. All the English studies under Mr. Middleton paid off--he gave me a love for the English language that enabled me to learn a valuable skill. Thank you, Mr. Middleton!
I got married in 1999 to Evan Jones, the love of my life. We moved from Washington to New Hampshire in 2001. He's the pastor of our church and a master electrician who runs his own business. ve being a stay-at-home mom, though there are days when I think I'll go crazy with all the demands. God's grace never runs out, though, and He continues to give me the strength I need. I'm homeschooling my second grader, an experience I find very fulfilling, if a little frustrating at times!
I continue to work as a freelance proofreader and copyeditor for a Christian book publisher, as well as a friend who runs a political consulting firm. It's great to have a little side job that allows me to stay home, earn a little extra money, and keep the ol' brain sharp doing something other than changing diapers and washing dishes. :-)
