Jill's Story
Life
In 1998 I married Jack Carpenter and we have had 7 awesome years together. This past November (2004) we were blessed to have our family grow by four feet. Being parents to twins is incredible and we love it!After we both graduated from BYU we moved to Connecticut where Jack studied to become a Physician Assistant and received his masters in Health Science from Quinnipiac University. We currently live in upstate NY and enjoy our surroundings. I have my own small business -"Backyard Pool and Fitness" which is so rewarding.
School
My biggest crush in 9th grade was Andrew Beck. After arriving at the high school I always seemed to have crushes on older classmen--go figure.
JAY ALLEN was my most inspiring teacher. I am forever grateful for the opprotunity I had to learn not only science, but life lessons from such a great person.
I don't think high school was all that rough and I would be willing to do it again. I would change a few things if I had a second chance (like date more people and not be so bashful).
High school had many funny, happy, and crazy moments, but I think most ...Expand for more
of my foundest memories came from creatively asking and answering people out for dance dates.
College
Graduated from UVSC in May 1998
Graduated from BYU in August 2000
Attended Quinnipiac University for a semster after moving to CT.
Workplace
I worked as a dental assistant from my senior year in high school until my senior year at BYU. It was a wonderful experience. After graduation I took a full-time position working for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a receptionist at the Orem Institiute of Religion. After moving to Connecticut I chased my dreams of becoming a certified water aerobic instructor. Once involved in the aquatic world I became a lifeguard and swim instructor as well. This has been a great little niche for me. It is incredible rewarding to work with people, help them over come their fears of water, and teach people of all ages to successfully swim. I found that I loved it so much that I started my own business and it has worked fabulous for me and our family. (I have a website address which "classmates" prohibits me from posting or I would share it).
