Jill's Story
I married Ed Foley in 1963. We have two children: Sara, who is very high functioning mentally handicapped 43 year old and lives in a wonderful group home near us in Knoxville, TN. Our son, Michael, 45, an entrepreneur, lives in North Palm Beach, FL with his wife and 3 children. My husband, after being out of high school for 10 years decided he needed to get a college degree and used his GI benefits to complete his BS in Applied Microbiology at BGSU by going to school days and working nights. He then went on the following year to complete his MS in Industrial Hygiene at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO. I just followed along with the children trying to make his load a little lighter whenever I could get a part time job and still be there for the children. siness in 1985 and I helped him get organized and established by taking care of all the accounting and secretarial duties. He gives me lots more credit than I deserve for his success. We both have retired, however whenever special clients come calling, he still can't say no to them, so a couple times a year he travels to projects that might be anywhere in the US. We have lived in many states and cities. Being married to Ed has taught me not to be afraid of change. Now it seems that i have caught his wanderlust. We have had homes in Ohio, Michigan, Florida and now in Tennessee near the beautiful Smoky Mountains. Don't know how long we will be here!!! If you all aren't bored by now, you should be.
