Jill's Story
After I graduated high school I left Quik Mart and started at Macktown State Bank in Rockton. Then went to Rock Valley for Banking in 96. Married my husband Owen in 98, whose also a 95er from Clinton. Went to Clinton Amcore in 99. Decided to go to Cosmetology school. Graduated there in 2001. Soon after had our first son. Moved to Beloit in 2003. Worked from home and raised 4 kids for the next decade. In the middle of it had lost our premature daughter when she was 1 in 2007. Started coaching soccer for 11yrs. In 2012 I went back into the workforce at various salons. Opened my own in 2019. In 2017 we had moved to Janesville on a farmette and I also worked that year at BMO Harris. Went back to Beloit in 2020 and helped 3 of the kids through a whole virtual school year. Co-vid era messed up a lot of things for us. out of our district and we moved north. Noe we're on almost 20 acres in Portage, where I reopened the salon and run another business selling starter plants, trees and apples. My oldest is a construction warranty coordinator in Waunakee. My daughter went.to college in Wausau and works as an architectural designer. My last 2 are high/middle school students at Poynette. Ive always had strong Christian beliefs, which kind of set me apart. I stay active and adventurous outdoors, hiking, gardening, volleyball, shopping, watching my kids sports. I love big cities and any beachlake or ocean. I love catching up with old friends, listening, counseling, sharing with others the highs/lows of life. I have 10x more confidence in real life, than I did in high school. Thanks to growing with God and my husband. I hope you are well. Love to see you at the next class reunion or gathering! Jill
